This family of five are full-time RVers traveling the country in a Grand Design Solitude and were looking to dip their toes into some off-grid camping. It was important to design a maintenance and worry free system that’s also easily expandable, as they discover what their off-grid usage and needs are.

Now, don’t mistake expandability for starting out small. This robust system made up of 1000 watts of tilt-ready solar panels, 500ah’s of Battleborn Lithium Batteries, and a Victron 3000 watt Hybrid inverter ran through a Smart Phase Switch keeps this system pretty free of compromises. With a couple of EasyStarts in the rooftop AC’s, there are even some hours of generator-less air conditioning to be had! (Hello air-conditioned breaks at highway rest stops!)
